The conference will be held at the Fairmont Le Château Montebello (Quebec, Canada) from June 21 to june 23, 2011. The first event begins at 6:00pm with a reception and dinner on Tuesday, June 21 in the Quebec Room, located on the balcony above the main dining room. Here you will pick up your conference materials. The meals will be in the main dining hall, Aux Chantignoles, in a reserved section for those dining with the ‘Art of Peace Conference.’ Breakfast begins each day at 7:00am (breakfast is provided on Friday, June 24). All other panels/events will be held in the Heritage Room.

Please note that the hotel does not have its own transportation service. The shuttle is a private company that we have arranged for Art of Peace participants and their guests. For those of you who are flying into Ottawa, we have made arrangements with Simply DMC to transfer you between the airport and Montebello. Please see the attached listing with shuttle times. The average transfer time is one hour and fifteen minutes. Simply DMC’s uniformed staff will meet and greet you with signage. International arrivals will be met right after customs and domestic arrivals will be met in baggage claim. If you are traveling by train and taking taxi to airport, the staff will meet you at the 1st floor information desk. If there are any changes to your itinerary due to flight delays, please contact John with Simply DMC directly at 613-791-6690 with your updated information.

We will reimburse travel related expenses so be sure to save all of your original receipts, tickets and boarding passes. After your trip is completed, you will send a signed travel report along with all original receipts to my attention. For those driving, the travel mileage rate is .51. There is a travel report form and a self addressed envelope in your conference packet which you will receive onsite.
If you are a Fairmont President’s Club member, wireless internet in guests’ rooms and public areas is available for free. Non-members will be charged $13.95, plus taxes for 24/hour period. There is no charge to register for the Fairmont President’s Club (visit http://www.fairmont.com/fpc) to register and for full a list of amenities).
